FAQ
Quiet answers to fair questions.
When does Kin launch?
We're in active development with a private beta opening in waves. Joining the waitlist guarantees you a spot when we ship — you'll get one email when it's your turn. Zero spam.
Is Kin free?
Kin will have a generous free plan that covers everything a typical household needs. A Family Premium plan unlocks more members, lists, and richer history. Waitlist members get Premium free during the entire beta.
Is Home Inventory ready today?
Shopping lists are the most mature part of the app. Home Inventory is being built right now — it's the closed loop we're shipping next. Early access opens with the beta so you can shape it.
What devices does it support?
iPhone and Android at launch, with iPad and a web companion right after. Sync is sub-second across every device on your household.
How many people can share one household?
Up to 6 members on the free plan — perfect for couples, families, and small roommate groups. Larger households can extend on Premium.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Add, check off, and update items anywhere. Kin syncs automatically the moment you reconnect, with no merge conflicts.
How is Kin different from Notes, Reminders, or Bring!?
Kin is built around the closed loop between what you have and what you need to buy. It's a real shared household memory — not a generic list app with sharing bolted on.
Is my data private?
Your household data belongs to you. Kin never sells data, never shows ads, and uses encrypted sync for everything shared between your devices. You can export or delete everything at any time.
Tell us what matters most to you.
One question, one wish, one frustration — we read every message and use it to shape Kin.
